What People Say

Most Liked

Patrons rave about the generous portion sizes served at Phenix Square. The famous man-handler breakfast is particularly popular—featuring pancakes or French toast—that leaves many satisfied. The cozy, family-friendly atmosphere attracts both locals and visitors looking for a relaxed dining experience. The coffee has garnered a loyal following, with many claiming it rivals that of popular chains like Dunkin'. Fast service is a standout feature, with friendly waitstaff who ensure that drinks are always topped off. The reasonable prices, reminiscent of pre-2019 diners, add to the overall appeal, making it an excellent value for money.

Most Disliked

While the experience is generally positive, a common concern involves the lack of clear payment instructions for newcomers. First-time visitors might feel a bit lost regarding whether to pay at the table or counter, leading to some awkward moments. Additionally, the diner can reach full capacity during peak times, particularly Saturday mornings, which may deter those looking for a quieter dining experience. Some customers noted the limited dinner options, as lunch seems to be the busy dining period, making the evening atmosphere somewhat quieter. These minor inconveniences shouldn’t overshadow the overall enjoyment of the food and service.

Me, my brother, and my fiancé have been searching for a good breakfast place nearby that’s not crowded and expensive. This place was a huge surprise, the food was delicious, the coffee was delicious, the soda isn’t watered down, the prices are amazing. We each got the man-handler which a large breakfast including pancakes or French toast. As you can see in the photo the portions are huge. The waitress was very friendly and kept our drink full the entire time even though it was just her at the time with 3 other tables and she was Cooking. The only thing that we found we didn’t like was that if you’ve never been, there’s nothing posted about if you pay at the table or counter and they don’t tell you either. So you feel a little silly. But to be fair they are probably used to regulars who know how to pay. Overall this place is amazing, it’s cozy and not crowded. You pay at the counter, and yes they take cards and cash.

Amazing little hole in the wall gem in West Warwick. Prices feel like pre-2019, but don’t let that deceive you the food is worth double the price. Kind and thoughtful service as well! Highly suggested for a place to eat and relax.

Very reasonable pricing for the portions. An "old school" diner. Waitresses are nice.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the home fries are outstanding. Very fair prices and we've been back a few times already. They close around 1-1:30 but still offer a lunch and dinner menu that we'd like to try sometime as well. Very small, street parking only but worth it for takeout.
